HOW THEY WORK
💳Pre-Payment
- The guest pays the full amount at booking by card.
- The funds are paid out to the restaurant's bank account at the first Adyen payout run after the payment.
- The order appears as unposted in the payment report until the booking date.
- On the booking date, the order is posted automatically and exported to accounting as a cash order.
- Cancellations and any refunds are handled manually in the Adyen Portal by the restaurant.
Note: Linked to one article only. Cannot be split across multiple articles or accounts.
🔒Deposit
- The guest pays a fixed deposit amount at booking.
- The amount is registered as a "Booking Deposit" in the Munu portal and posted to the selected account.
- On the booking date: the guest is seated in the POS using the booking that includes the deposit.
- Items are registered in the POS as usual – at checkout, the cashier is notified that a deposit exists.
- The deposit is applied as partial or full payment and deducted from the final bill.
- Cancellations and any refunds are handled manually in the Adyen Portal by the restaurant.
Note: Requires POS integration, as the booking must be seated and used at checkout.
🛡No-Show Fee
- The guest provides card details at booking – no charge is made at this point.
- The card is authenticated, but no funds are reserved.
- If the guest does not complete the card verification process, the booking is automatically cancelled after 15 minutes.
- If the guest fails to show up, the booking is marked as "No-Show" in the Munu Booking App.
- The guest is then charged the agreed amount, and the order is posted against the linked article
