If an article is made up of several items — such as a cocktail — you need to create a recipe so the correct quantities are deducted from your inventory when it is sold.
Go to Inventory → Recipes and click Create new.
Create a recipe
- Give the recipe a name
- Click Add row to add a line for each item in the recipe — the first line is added automatically
- Click the search icon in the item column to find and select an item
- Once selected, the base unit appears in the Unit column — enter the quantity used in the Quantity column
- Repeat for all items, then click Save changes
💡 Tip: The cost price is automatically calculated based on quantity and unit price. Double check the values to make sure the cost price is correct.
